About this Course

In the Bricks 4 kidz® hands-on camp, students build machines, buildings, vehicles and other structures out of LEGO® bricks, using one-of-a-kind model plans. Instructional content is multi-disciplinary and designed by educators to increase student’s general knowledge and introduce S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering and math) concepts related to the day’s model. There is a different theme each week and different theme for morning and afternoon camp. The students will work in a lab-type setting using Lego® components such as gears, axles and beams, following an integrated curriculum based on math and science. We offer the students the choice of which model to build, depending on their age, experience and skill level. Once the project is completed, the students further expand their knowledge by modifying their model using different gears and gadgets. Through their work with Lego® models, students will develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. Each camper goes home with a custom mini figure.
